Sam Darnold threw three landing passes within the second half and the Minnesota Vikings held on for a 21-13 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday evening in Minneapolis.
Jordan Addison, Jalen Nailor and Josh Oliver had one landing reception apiece for Minnesota (6-2), which bounced again from a two-game skid. Darnold accomplished 28 of 34 passes for 290 yards, the three touchdowns and two interceptions, and Justin Jefferson completed with seven catches for a game-high 137 yards.
Cornerback Kenny Moore II scored the one landing for the Colts (4-5) on a fumble restoration. Joe Flacco accomplished 16 of 27 passes for 179 yards and one interception.
The Vikings outgained the Colts 415-227.
After being held scoreless within the first half, Minnesota pulled even at 7-7 on the opening drive of the third quarter. Darnold rolled proper and handed to Addison, who made a one-handed catch at the back of the tip zone for a 4-yard landing.
Minnesota scored once more to seize a 14-7 benefit with 2:49 remaining within the third quarter. Darnold linked with Nailor for a 7-yard landing to complete a nine-play, 80-yard drive.
Indianapolis reduce its deficit to 14-10 with 12:41 to go within the fourth quarter. Matt Homosexual drilled a 42-yard area aim simply contained in the left upright.
