As he’s been throughout a lot of his latest stretch of sturdy offensive play, Karl-Anthony Cities was fast and decisive when it mattered most Saturday in New Orleans.
With Minnesota trailing by one within the last 10 seconds of the sport, Cities shortly attacked the smaller Dyson Daniels, received to the sting of the paint and threw a floater off the glass to provide Minnesota a one-point edge.
“It was an actual expert transfer. He’s received lots of talent,” Timberwolves coach Chris Finch advised reporters postgame. “We’ve actually been harping on him attempting to scrub up his recreation offensively. And he’s received a lot expertise that if he simply focuses on the straightforward issues achieved actually, very well, he doesn’t have to sort of create lots of additional exercise round his recreation. … And he’s actually taken to that, so that will be a transparent instance.”
Brandon Ingram missed an honest look a couple of seconds later, and Minnesota escaped New Orleans with a 121-120 victory Saturday.
