The Cleveland Browns positioned new acquisition Brian Allen (calf) on injured reserve on Monday, ending the middle’s season.
Allen, 28, who signed with the Browns in Could, suffered a calf harm on the third day of coaching camp.
The Browns introduced the signing of guard Zack Johnson in a corresponding transfer.
Allen was drafted within the fourth spherical by the Los Angeles Rams in 2018. In 2021, he made 16 begins within the common season and 4 extra within the playoffs as Los Angeles marched to a Tremendous Bowl LVI championship.
Allen then missed 22 of the Rams’ 34 video games over the previous two seasons. He handled knee and thumb accidents in 2022 and misplaced his beginning job to Coleman Shelton final season.
The Browns have facilities Ethan Pocic and Luke Wypler on the roster. Pocic made 15 begins final season for Cleveland, whereas Wypler performed in 5 video games (one begin) as a 2023 rookie.
