Carson Palmer is taking up as the pinnacle soccer coach at his alma mater.

Santa Margarita Catholic Excessive Faculty in Orange County, Calif., made his hiring official on Friday.

“Santa Margarita Soccer is happy to announce the hiring of former Eagle and Heisman Trophy winner, Carson Palmer as our new head soccer coach,” the college posted to social media.

From there, he enrolled at Southern California, gained the Heisman in 2002 and was the No. 1 number of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Orange County Register reported that Palmer was a voluntary assistant coach for the college’s freshman workforce within the 2023 season. His son, Fletcher, was the quarterback of the freshman squad.

Palmer’s first sport on the helm of Santa Margarita within the 2025 season might be in opposition to neighboring Mission Viejo, coached by one other former USC and NFL quarterback, Rob Johnson, the Los Angeles Occasions reported.
