Ferrari named former Mercedes engineer Loic Serra as a technical director for its Components 1 staff on Thursday.
The 52-year-old Frenchman begins on Oct. 1 and replaces the departed Enrico Cardile as chassis technical director.
Serra will report on to staff principal Fred Vasseur, Ferrari stated in a press assertion on Thursday.
Enrico Gaultieri stays in his position as Ferrari’s technical director on the ability unit aspect.
Cardile departed in July to just accept a senior technical place at Aston Martin.
Serra had labored at Mercedes for greater than a decade. He might be reunited with driver Lewis Hamilton when the seven-time world champion joins Ferrari for the 2025 season.
