Georgia dismissed senior extensive receiver Rodarius “Rara” Thomas from the staff following his arrest final week on a felony cost of second-degree cruelty to youngsters and misdemeanor battery.
Georgia coach Kirby Good confirmed Thomas’ departure on Thursday.
“I met with Rara on Tuesday and had an opportunity to speak to him nose to nose, which was essential, however I knowledgeable him that he might now not be part of this staff, and he understood that,” Good informed reporters.
Thomas was suspended July 26 when he was arrested by Athens-Clarke County Police. He was launched Tuesday on a $3,500 bond.
That is the second time the Eufaula, Ala., native has been arrested on household violence prices.
