The Indiana Pacers have waived heart Daniel Theis.
Per the Indianapolis Star, “Theis has appeared in only one recreation this season and performed eight minutes. He missed Tuesday’s recreation towards the 76ers in Philadelphia for “private causes” although he was with the staff in Philadelphia for Sunday’s recreation. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle didn’t additional clarify the reasoning for Theis’ absence past saying it was private. The 31-year-old Theis was due $9.1 million on his contract this season with a membership choice for subsequent season that will pay him $9.5 million if he was retained.”
