The Board of Management for Cricket in India on Thursday, February 22, introduced the schedule for the primary two weeks of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match will start on March 22 and the schedule has been introduced until April 7. The remaining schedule is more likely to be out after the dates of normal elections in India are introduced.
In the course of the first two weeks, 21 matches shall be performed throughout three cities, with every workforce enjoying a minimal of three matches and a most of 5. IPL 2024 will get underway with a conflict between Chennai Tremendous Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chepauk in Chennai on March 22. The primary weekend can have two double headers, with Punjab Kings (PBKS) taking over Delhi Capitals (DC) on March 23 afternoon, adopted by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clashing with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) within the night.
On March 24, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will host the Lucknow Tremendous Giants (LSG) in Jaipur, whereas Gujarat Titans (GT), 2022 winners and 2023 runners-up will tackle the Mumbai Indians (MI). Delhi Capitals (DC) will host their first two house video games in Visakhapatnam. They are going to face Chennai Tremendous Kings on March 31 after which Kolkata Knight Riders on April 3.
Whereas revealing the schedule for the primary two weeks of IPL 2024, an official IPL launch said that the BCCI will work intently with authorities and safety businesses, following all obligatory protocols and advisories associated to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections in India.
“As soon as the dates for the 18th Lok Sabha elections are introduced, the Board will assessment and handle any points pertaining to the schedule of the primary two weeks. Subsequently, the BCCI will work in tandem with native authorities to finalize the schedule for the rest of the season, bearing in mind the polling dates,” the BCCI launch added.
