Former NFL QB Frank Ryan died Monday in a Connecticut nursing residence, the Cleveland Browns introduced.
Ryan, the final quarterback to information the Browns to a title, was 87.
Frank Ryan Jr. informed Cleveland.com that his dad was recognized with Alzheimer’s.
A 3-time Professional Bowler, Ryan led the league in landing passes in 1964, en path to a championship. He threw three touchdowns in an upset of Johnny Unitas and the Colts.
Ryan handed for 16042 yards, and 149 TDs throughout his 13-year profession. He was drafted by the Rams, and in addition performed for Washington.
